Digital & Hybrid Event Manager

Who is and what does the Digital & Hybrid Event Manager do

The Digital & Hybrid Event Manager designs and runs virtual and hybrid events, combining the in-person experience in the room with the online one. They handle webinars, streamed conferences, virtual fairs, conventions and product launches that engage both on-site and remote audiences.

They select and coordinate streaming and virtual event platforms, manage video direction and engagement tools (chat, Q&A, polls, networking), and design a consistent experience across physical and digital (a phygital approach). They work closely with the technical team, marketing and speakers to ensure the event runs smoothly on every channel.

Skills required

Command of virtual and hybrid event and streaming platforms, project management, digital direction and production, knowledge of engagement and analytics tools, and the ability to design a seamless physical-to-online experience. Live problem solving, attention to detail and strong coordination complete the profile.

Salary

Salary is in line with — and often above — that of a traditional event manager, given the technical skills required. In Italy, indicatively, a junior profile starts at around €24,000–28,000 gross per year, a mid-level around €38,000–45,000, while senior figures can reach €55,000–65,000 gross per year (market estimates).
